Treatments to Combat West Nile Virus Scheduled in Rancho Mirage

The District is asking residents to stay aware and protect themselves from being bitten.

Mosquitoes continue to test positive for West Nile Virus (WNV) in traps near Thunderbird Road and Highway 111 in Rancho Mirage as well as elsewhere in the valley. The District is continuing to set out additional traps, conducting larval surveillance to identify standing water were mosquitoes breed, and carrying out larval and adult mosquito control as necessary in an effort to protect public health.
